Brandon Stasiewicz

Session Description

Let’s face it. Microsoft technologies are fundamental to a lot of corporate IT efforts—including MDM, RDM and Data Governance. Keeping up with Microsoft can be a challenge due to rate of change regarding Cloud, SQL Server 2016 and more. Over the past 10 years, we have seen major MDM bundled features during the rollouts of SQL Server 2010, 2012 and most recently 2016. This session will provide insights into the MSFT technology stack from the leading consultancy in MDM implementations wherein senior project leaders will share their experiences in understanding what is to be realistically expected from deploying MSFT Master Data Services (MDS) from a “real world” perspective. Using a series of recent case studies, these experienced practitioners will share best practices in discussing these topics and more:

• Determining cost of ownership whether MSFT MDS can accommodate specific data model complexity, matching accuracy & capacity/throughput requirements

• Leveraging current & upcoming MSFT MDS capabilities such as Business Glossary, “Entity Sync” (for operational MDM), federation & Azure Data Catalog integration ... or whether to use MDM capabilities built into the MSFT AX Dynamics applications (Product Data Management (PDM) / Product Information Management (PIM), Chart of Accounts, Number Sequences, etc.)

• Identifying key MSFT & 3rd party software to optimize MSFT MDS deployments – DQS, Melissa Data, MS Office, Profisee, SharePoint, SSIS, et al
