How does a decades-old organization that exists solely to produce and put in the hands of consumers huge printed directories reinvent itself to thrive in a world that now wants information delivered to mobile devices, tablets and PCs on-demand?  This is the story of YPG’s successful Digital Transformation, showcasing the data, architectural, and people issues that stood in their way.The recently deployed TIBCO MDM solution manages the identity and data for all businesses across Canada via a robust data governance process that leverages MDM services with Big Data and social enterprise software. This system has ensured that Yellow Pages is able to offer more accurate and more detailed information about businesses in Canada than online competitors.  A team of 40+ data stewards augments the traditional web and self-service approach by handling real-time and batch feeds of data while using sophisticated matching strategies to guarantee non-duplication of mission-critical data.  The matching solution 'learns' from steward decisions, reducing the number of steward work items, and time spent resolving potential duplicates.
