Elsevier is a world-leading provider of information solutions that enhance the performance of science, health, and technology professionals, empowering them to make better decisions, deliver better care, and sometimes make groundbreaking discoveries, that advance the boundaries of knowledge and human progress. Elsevier’s Customer MDM solution is intended to establish a unique representation of customer to be utilized by business functions such as Finance, Sales, Marketing, Global Customer Service / Support as well as Elsevier core content solutions users and contributors (researchers, authors, editors and reviewers). Presently it is being used to support Finance invoicing and collections. At this session, the speakers will provide insights into:

  • Leveraging a global data model intended to be shared by all business functions
  • Providing insight into high-level global data domains – e.g., geographic differentiators
  • Rationalizing “global” data quality – standards vs. geographic standards
