INDUSTRY INNOVATION LUNCHEON: ADVANCES IN MDM ARCHITECTURE—EVOLVING FROM ON-PREMISE TO CLOUD AND HYBRID MDM HUBS

Ravi Shankar, Vice President, MDM Product Marketing, INFORMATICA
Steve Hoskin, VP and Chief Architect, INFORMATICA

MDM implementations have been mostly on-premise. The simple reason being that cloud-based MDM solutions have not been available in the market, until now. Some of the early pioneers are evolving to multiple MDM hubs as they expand to another use case, domain, or region. As cloud-based MDM hubs begin to take root, they are evolving their single MDM hub to another MDM hub on cloud; thus, enabling hybrid MDM architectures. Whether you are new to MDM or expanding to additional MDM hubs, the question remains the same: “Should I go for an on-premise, cloud, or hybrid MDM solution? And, how do you tie the different hubs together in a federated hub-of-hubs MDM architecture?” Come to this session to learn how certain leading companies are solving this conundrum!

Topics to be discussed include:

  • Which MDM model is better these days—on-premise, cloud, hybrid? Advantages and disadvantages of each approach.
  • How to scale from on-premise to hybrid cloud hub-of-hubs?
  • Best practices learned from of the leading companies.
