CASE STUDY: NEXT GENERATION MDM—NOW

Eva Christie, Director, Enterprise Data Management, THE CLOROX COMPANY
Senthil Rajamanickam, THE CLOROX COMPANY

The Clorox Company, based in Oakland, is a $6B+ multi-national manufacturer and marketer of consumer and professional products. Clorox products are sold primarily through mass merchandisers, retail outlets, e-commerce channels, distributors and medical supply providers. Due to its many acquisitions, there exist multiple ERPs, multiple financial reporting systems, even multiple MDM hubs from multiple MDM vendors and a need to remain agile to support M&A. This session provides an overview of how the enterprise IT department of a F500 corporation manages to deliver near term business value while tracking to a future-state architecture that addresses the realities of an increasingly consumer-driven marketplace.

  • Creating a federated architecture to incorporate Big Data, Social, Cloud and other key technology trends
  • Architecting for the next generation of data sources and other extreme variables
  • Delivering near-term business value while architecting for the long-term vision
