CASE STUDY: STARTING THE DATA STEWARDSHIP PROGRAM FROM SCRATCH

As the largest railroad car provider in the United States, TTX Company provides freight car management services (including information and accounting) to its stockholding railroads. Not only physical assets, but also information assets, have been found to provide great shareholder value. This session will provide insights into how this organization kickstarted Data Governance on a modest budget and with few FTEs by inventorying business rules focused on alignment with senior management. The session will also speak to the importance of cultural alignment in establishing data stewardship. Topics include:
