KEYNOTE: THE WHO, THE WHAT, THE WHY AND THE WHERE—YOU DECIDE THE WHEN

Anne Buff, Thought Leader, Cloud Strategy, Data Management, Data Governance, MDM & Data Integration, SAS BEST PRACTICES

Everyone's managing data as a corporate asset—or at least everyone wants to. The data people understand that this means more than trying to quantify the value of data. It means nothing short of an organizational commitment.

That commitment involves new data delivery processes, of course. But the "what" and the "how" should then inform the "who." And the "who" conversations starts with the Chief Data Officer.

In this presentation, thought leader and data evangelist Anne Buff will discuss the role of the CDO, how it differs from and aligns with the CIO, and their relative organizational boundaries, addressing the “where” and the “why.”

She'll outline the role of the CDO, what success looks like and, when the planets align, how the CDO can actually complement other executive roles, driving not only data value but business value in the process.
