KEYNOTE: FEDERATED MDM— ADVANCED ARCHITECTURE FOR INTEGRATING ON-PREMISE AND CLOUD MDM HUBS

Glen Bentley, Director of Product Management, INFORMATICA

MDM hubs are evolving. Ten years ago, organizations implemented MDM hubs on-premise to solve master data disparities in CRM and ERP applications running within their data centers. Today, many of these organizations are running CRM and ERP applications in the Cloud. And MDM has evolved to support the data disparities within and across these cloud applications. With organizations using multiple MDM hubs—one for on-premise and another for Cloud, how does an organization address the complete requirements of the enterprise? Universal MDM is a federated MDM architecture for organizations undertaking a single MDM or multiple MDM hub approach. In this session, the benefits of a Universal MDM architecture and strategy will be examined via these topics:

  • Determining the requirements that dictate the need for single MDM vs. multiple MDM hubs
  • Leveraging a Universal MDM architecture via common services, domains, & governance layers
  • Evolving a universal MDM architecture to support federated MDMs ("hub-of-hubs")
