MDM AND BIG DATA: TURN YOUR 360° VIEW INTO A HUMAN PROFILE

Structured data and unstructured data, internal data and external data, big data and small data—master data exists in every one of these forms. MDM programs, however, have historically dedicated the majority of their attention to structured small data, with the result being a “partial 360° view” of the master data entity that is stifled or even undermined by its limited number of data sources. A combination of both innovation and emerging business needs are breaking down the silos between these data sources. Savvy organizations are at the beginning stages of integrating all types of data to evolve from a partial 360° view towards a true “human profile.” More complete and trustworthy data, of course, leads to better business outcomes, but the real differentiator for these organizations is the ability to ask new questions and get answers—answers that lead to the sort of intuitive, effortless customer experience that separates them from the rest of the pack. This session will cover:
