The first 75 minutes will be presented by David Woods of DATUM LLC and Bob Delp of Johnson & Johnson.

For companies that live in the complexity of a heterogeneous ERP landscape, the choices for how to support the data governance needs are equally as complex. Understanding how to match your organizational capabilities and needs to the appropriate data governance tools continues to be a challenge, as enabling technologies are developing at a dynamic pace. In this presentation we will review the process for evaluating and prioritizing your organizational needs and matching the capabilities of SAP’s MDG, Information Steward and NetWeaver MDM solutions to address your challenges.

Mark Fesser of Bunge Limited and John Ferraioli from Utopia Inc. will present for 75 minutes on best practices.

Bunge is a leading agribusiness and food company with integrated operations that circle the globe, stretching from the farm field to the retail shelf. Today, 200 year old Bunge has a large SAP footprint with seven instances running multiple regions. Growth for this US$50B+ food conglomerate has come organically along with mergers and acquisition (M&A). Doing business worldwide requires perfectly working supply chains and thus perfectly aligned master data. With over 35,000 employees, a decentralized organizational structure and regional controlling interests, the enterprise data management (EDM) team at Bunge faces major base challenges. These are exacerbated by the prioritization and scheduled deployment of EDM in concert with large global and regional projects which compete for mindshare and funding. This presentation will focus on the core philosophy, business support and the enabling technologies such as SAP Master Data Governance for Finance (MDG-F) which serve as a foundation for Bunge's global EDM. This session will outline real world case studies and success stories at Bunge, including:

  • Identifying current challenges and plans to overcome them to continue Bunge's EDM journey
  • Applying critical leading practices, processes & enabling steps to support the business case for enterprise data management
  • Implementing a progressive data lifecycle framework (architectural considerations)
